Salome is a versatile application designed for capturing or importing audio clips, transforming them into continuous loops, and playing them back polyphonically using MPE or MIDI.
- CONTROL: The on-screen keypads can be locked in position, serving as 2-dimensional faders to manage a variety of modulations. Furthermore, users can employ both software and hardware MPE controllers (or traditional MIDI if necessary).
- WORKFLOW: The workflow is optimized to ensure a rapid and seamless transition from sampling to playback, prioritizing efficiency over an excess of features.
- UNIVERSAL: Salome offers AUv3 plugins for iOS (iPhone, iPad) and MacOS (ARM, Intel) platforms with various features including full Audio Unit compatibility, built-in MPE keypads for multi-dimensional on-screen control, MPE/MIDI input and output from the Audio Unit, a 12-mode filter inspired by the Oberheim Xpander design, latch-mode functionality for fader-based instrument play, basic standalone mode (for connectivity, utilize the AU plugin), the ability to record or import sounds (WAV, AIF, MP3) and instantly play them as a polyphonic instrument, and effortless seamless loop creation using the non-destructive X-Fade feature.
